Sarah Tubaugh joins the River View on the Appomattox Health & Rehab Center team, bringing several years of experience in the healthcare world. Sarah’s love for older adults began at a young age when she befriended an elderly gentleman at church. Sarah found then (and now) that older adults had so many fascinating stories and so much wisdom to share. Volunteering throughout her childhood at local nursing centers, At age 12, Sarah told her mom that one day she was going to run a nursing home. Sarah went on to obtain a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Appalachian State University and a Master’s of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Sarah believes in the power of teamwork and cultivating an atmosphere of support and open communication through employees, residents, families, and the community.
Sarah grew up in a small town on the river, making Hopewell and River View feel like a second home. Sarah enjoys being involved in the community through the Junior League of Richmond and her church, The Chapel. In her free time, Sarah loves to travel, explore the Richmond food scene, cycle, and spend time with her French bulldog, Louie. Sarah is thrilled to be a part of the River View family and looks forward to knowing you.
