Avery Prince, Director of Admissions

Avery Prince joins the River View on the Appomattox Health and Rehab Center team with several years of experience working and volunteering in various healthcare settings. Like many others, Avery entered the healthcare field with the goal of helping others. She got her first start in healthcare through a Junior Volunteer Program at the local hospital in her hometown during high school and ended up also volunteering at the larger regional medical center through her college years. Avery attended James Madison University to pursue a Bachelor’s of Health Science Degree with a minor in Chronic Illness.  Although Avery did not always know she wanted to work in the long-term care industry, she couldn’t imagine working with any other population. Through Avery’s experience and community relationships, she is able to offer resources and guidance to patients and families, ensuring an informed and seamless admission process. Avery’s empathetic and compassionate nature is often reassuring for patients and families who are overwhelmed with the decision to pursue skilled nursing or long-term care placement.

Outside of work, Avery enjoys spending time with her friends and family (especially her niece), creating new recipes in the kitchen, and traveling to new places with her puppy Murphy. Avery is excited to be one of the newest additions to the River View team and is looking forward to continuing to build relationships with the residents, families, and other members of the Hopewell community.
