**COVID-19 Update**
November 18th, 2021

We hope you are staying healthy and safe.

As you may be aware, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services provided updated visitation guidance for nursing homes on November 12, 2021. In many ways, we will be able to resume visitation in a similar manner to how it occurred pre-pandemic. We are still required by CMS to continue to promote and adhere to core infection control principles among visitors such as screening upon entry to the Center, mask usage, social distancing and increased hand hygiene. We will be providing more information in the coming days. This is welcomed news as we approach the holiday season.

CDC City Community Transmission Level: Moderate
Testing: While in an outbreak, patients are tested every 3-7 days until the Center is 14 days without a positive test result. Staff are tested twice per week due to the community transmission level.
PPE: The supply remains adequate. Staff have received ongoing education on appropriate PPE utilization.
Visitation: Visitation is temporarily suspended for patients located on the Outlook Unit with the exception of compassionate care visits. To schedule a visit, click this link: https://riverview-rehab.com/patient-visitations/

As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,
