2018 Nurse of the Year

Last week, during National Skilled Nurses Care Week, we asked our residents/patients, families and employees to help us decide the 2018 Nurse of the Year. The award would go to a nurse who has gone above and beyond in his/her role and demonstrated care innovation, transformation, and collaboration that supports an exceptional patient experience. They had to vote for the Nurse that exemplifies these three characteristics:

Passion towards Coworkers/ Families / Residents / Patients

After all the votes have been counted, we’re pleased to announce that the winner of the 2018 River View Health & Rehab Nurse of the Year goes to… Melvin Brown, LPN!!!

We want to congratulate Melvin and thank him for all his hard work. Melvin joined us in 2011 and has a contagious personality! We’re blessed to have him as part of the River View on the Appomattox nursing team.
